Carnelian, an orange variety of Chalcedony from the Quartz family, is celebrated for its range of colours from pale pink-orange to deep rust brown.  Most known for its vivid orange and red hues, Carnelian's colour is due to the presence of colloidally dispersed hematite (iron oxide).

These spheres are truly beautiful specimins, featuring banding and some geode formations.
